A service that allows you to change the payer at the customer’s request. After the invoice is issued, the change of the payer can be made based on a written request from the customer who has an account with DHL Express.

The Recipient’s phone number is mandatory. The service is not available outside the area of the respective Customer Service Point competent to handle a parcel.

At the request of the Shipper, immediate or unusual, one-time delivery of a shipment on a given business day, using specific vehicles, such as trucks equipped with mobile loading platforms for heavy lifting or deliveries requiring more than one courier. The recipient can order this service only at the DHL Express Customer Service Department when placing an order for import shipments.

The diesel fuel surcharge will be based on the daily average spot prices for U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) Ultra-Low-Sulfur No. 2 Diesel Fuel, as reported by the U.S. Department of Energy between third week release of prior month to third week release of actual month. For example, the daily average price for fuel from 18th April to 15th May is used to determine the applicable surcharge in June. The fuel surcharge applies to the transportation charges and to the services and surcharges (where applicable), as set out here: mydhl.express.dhl. DHL reserves the right to change the fuel surcharge index and table with or without notice. Both the amount and duration of the surcharge will be determined at DHL’s sole discretion.

Enabling pickup and delivery of parcels in areas not served by the standard DHL Express offering. The surcharge will be charged for delivery in remote areas and for collection from remote areas.

Handling and transportation of shipments of non-standard weight. A surcharge will be added for each item, as well as for a pallet that(s) exceeds the actual or volumetric weight of 70 kg.

This fixed surcharge applies to every piece, including a pallet, if its longest side exceeds 100cm or its second-longest side exceeds 80cm. Does not apply to pieces already subject to Overweight Piece surcharge.

A surcharge shall be applied to any pallet in transit when the pallet is deemed unstackable due to its packaging, contents or shape, or when it is clearly marked by the Shipper with a sticker as an “unstackable” pallet.

Finished consumer products, these are all articles classified as hazardous materials and belong to: Class 2 – gases (non-toxic aerosols only), Class 3 – flammable liquids (perfumes, paints, nail polish, remover, etc.), Subclass 6.1 – low toxicity substances (e-cigarette liquids, etc.) and substances that can create an environmental hazard. All consumer products require the submission of a product data sheet by the Shipper. Must be prepared for carriage in accordance with packing instruction Y963 of the current IATA DGR regulations, the customer to complete the DGD document (Shipper’s Declaration for Dangerous Goods – min. 2 copies).

Handling and transportation of parcels containing Category B biological material (UN3373), prepared for transport in accordance with IATA DGR regulations (packaging and labelling), in the airline network.

This fixed surcharge is applied when the handling and the air and road transportation of shipments involves substances and commodities that are in Excepted Quantities in compliance with IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations. Contractual agreement required. Approved shippers only.

Handling and transportation of shipments containing limited quantities (LQ – Limited Quantities) of dangerous substances and goods (in accordance with ADR 3.4 regulations). Such dangerous goods are restricted to no more than 30kg per piece. This definition does not apply to: dry ice (UN1845), category B biological material (UN3373), dangerous goods in excepted quantities and lithium batteries, for which there are special types of services. This service is available for road transport. Contractual agreement required. Approved shippers only.

Parcels must be packaged and labelled in accordance with the requirements of the IATA DGR regulations.

Applies only to the handling and air transportation of parcels containing lithium-ion batteries installed in a device that are prepared for carriage in accordance with Packing Instruction 967 Section II of the IATA DGR regulations. Parcels must be packaged and labelled in accordance with the requirements of the IATA DGR regulations.

Applies to the handling and air transportation of parcels containing lithium metal batteries Packaged with a device that is prepared for carriage in accordance with Packing Instruction 969 Section II of the IATA DGR regulations. All parcels containing lithium metal batteries must be packaged and labelled in accordance with the requirements of the IATA DGR regulations. Bulk lithium metal batteries alone (Packing Instruction 968) are not accepted for transport on the DHL Express flight network.

Applies to the handling and air transportation of parcels containing lithium metal batteries installed in a device that are prepared for carriage in accordance with Packing Instruction 970 Section II of the IATA DGR regulations. All parcels containing lithium metal batteries must be packaged and labelled in accordance with the requirements of the IATA DGR regulations.

DHL Express will establish the correct delivery address (in the area of the given Service Centre) with the Shipper or with the Recipient in case the delivery address provided by the Shipper is inaccurate.

The surcharge applies to any items sent via paper waybills, which require manual data entry into the DHL Express system. Electronically generated waybills do not incur any additional surcharges.

The surcharge applies when a parcel is delivered to a country that is subject to trade restrictions imposed by the UN Security Council. A list of countries covered by the surcharge is available at dhl.com.co.uk/doplaty.

A charge is applied per shipment when the handling and transportation of DDI shipments involves substances and commodities exceeding the limits of Limited Quantities set by ADR. DHL Express does not accept: Explosive material of Class 1, Division 2.3 Toxic gas, Division 6.2 infectious substances, Radioactive material of Class 7, High Consequence Dangerous Goods.
